Contract review.
Hours, not days.

Fixed fee. Reviewed by a lawyer.

Why this exists

Contract review is never just about the document. It is about the deal behind it, the people waiting on it, and the time and cost involved in getting back a clean, workable version. We built an AI-native review service to make that process faster and more predictable: fixed pricing agreed upfront, turnaround measured in hours, and a named lawyer signing off on every deliverable before it reaches you.

Who this is for

Teams where the contract flow never stops.

Built for teams managing a constant stream of commercial contracts — especially in B2B SaaS, developer tools, vertical AI, fintech, IT services, and enterprise vendor-driven businesses. It is designed for in-house legal, procurement, sales, partnerships, and operations teams where contracts sit on the critical path every week.

Document types we handle

  • NDAs — mutual, inbound, outbound
  • Master services agreements
  • Data processing agreements — GDPR
  • Software & SaaS licences
  • Vendor & procurement agreements
  • Order forms & SOWs
  • Custom playbook builds

Don’t see your contract type? Talk to us — we likely cover it.

You recognise yourselves if

  • You sign 10+ contracts a month.
  • You have a small or stretched legal team — or none at all.
  • Your contracts are governed by English law or another common law system.
  • Routine contract review regularly slows down sales, procurement, onboarding, or partnerships.
  • You want faster turnaround, fixed pricing, and a more predictable workflow.

Use cases

Every team has a version of this problem.

Head of Legal / GC

Free your team from the routine.

Your in-house lawyers are strong — but they spend too much time reviewing standard NDAs, vendor agreements, and procurement contracts that don’t need strategic judgment. We take the predictable volume off their desk so they can focus on the work that actually needs them.

Founder / CEO

Law-firm quality, without the overhead.

You don’t have a legal team yet. Every contract goes to an external firm, costs are unpredictable, and turnaround depends on someone else’s schedule. We give you fixed-fee, same-day contract review — the quality of established legal practice, without the overhead of hiring or the unpredictability of hourly billing.

Ops / Procurement / Partnerships

Remove the bottleneck.

Your team processes dozens of vendor or partner contracts every month. Legal review is what slows the deal down. We turn contract review into a same-day workflow — send us the document, get back a reviewed redline and risk note, close the deal.

How it works

From first conversation to live operation: two weeks on average.

01
Setup

We start with our knowledge base — playbooks, clause libraries, and negotiation frameworks. We then layer in your commercial context: deal structure, counterparty profile, risk appetite. The result is a custom review agent that applies top-tier legal expertise to your specific situation.

02
Test

Knowledge-base skills are trained, agent outputs are reviewed at every pass, until the output meets the standard of a top-tier commercial practice.

03
Operation

Every document comes back reviewed within a couple of hours — a full redline deliverable and a risk note. You communicate with us through email, WhatsApp, Slack, or wherever your team already works — at your convenience.

What powers every review

Simple for you. Engineered behind the scenes.

Speed alone is not a value proposition. What makes the output reliable is a legal engineering layer that we build, maintain, and continuously improve — so the AI operates inside the boundaries set by the lawyers on our team, not instead of them.

Practice knowledge, not generic prompts

Playbooks, clause libraries, and negotiation frameworks built from cross-border commercial practice — encoding commercial patterns, risk profiles, and negotiation dynamics specific to your industry, not generic legal rules.

Structured safeguards

Mandatory checklists, constraint layers, multi-pass verification, and clause-level traceability. Every edit is anchored to a real provision or a documented rule. The AI cannot skip a step, invent a clause, or fabricate a reference.

Continuous improvement

Every review feeds back into the system. Accuracy is tracked, edge cases are logged, and the review process is refined. The service gets measurably better with every document.

Lawyer sign-off on every document

A lawyer reviews every deliverable against our internal QA policies before it reaches you. The reviewer is named on every document. Nothing ships without human sign-off — that is the final gate, not the AI.

The deliverable

In the format your team already uses.

Every review comes back where your team already works — a Google Doc with suggestions and margin comments, or a Word .docx with tracked changes and inline notes.

The redline is the same either way: clause-level edits, a comment explaining each change, and a separate risk note from the lawyer on your account.

The risk memo

And a structured memo for every review.

Every redline ships with a short risk note — the same structure every time. A summary, a risk level, a checklist of the points we looked for, the verdict on each one, and a one-line rationale behind every edit.

It is what your lawyer would write if they had the time. You read the top line, trust the redline, and get back to the deal.

How we ensure quality

Built on fifteen years of cross-border practice.

1

Experienced lawyers

Our approach is grounded in legal expertise built through practice since 2011, and every output is reviewed by the lawyer on your account against our internal policies before it is delivered.

2

Internal QA policies on every document

No deliverable ships without passing our internal review protocol. The lawyer on your account checks every redline and every risk note against our policies — the AI proposes, the lawyer decides.

3

Your context, not generic output

Every review incorporates our institutional knowledge base and your specific commercial context — deal structure, counterparty profile, risk appetite. The output reflects real expertise applied to your situation, not a generic template.

4

Tracked, measured, and improved

We measure accuracy on every review, log edge cases, and retrain the system continuously. The service gets more precise the longer we work together — your knowledge base compounds.

Security and data protection

Privacy and Security by design.

Aurum is built so client data never leaves our perimeter. Every matter — documents, drafts, agent reasoning, audit logs — lives on dedicated infrastructure we operate in Germany, encrypted in transit and at rest, behind ethical walls enforced at the database layer so that no matter's data can ever surface inside another. We use Anthropic's enterprise Claude API and OpenAI's enterprise API exclusively, never consumer tools, which means client inputs are contractually excluded from any model training and held under defined retention terms. A data processing agreement is available for every client engagement.

Where a client's data-residency or sovereignty policy requires it, we can route processing through EU-native large language models — such as Mistral — hosted entirely within the European Union, with no data crossing EU borders at any stage.

The platform is GDPR-compliant by design and on track for ISO 42001 (AI management) and ISO 27001 (information security) certification in 2027.

GDPR Compliant

Aurum runs on dedicated servers located within the European Economic Area, physically hosted in Germany, and is fully compliant with the GDPR.

Enterprise AI only

Aurum uses only enterprise Claude and OpenAI APIs. Client inputs are contractually excluded from any model training and never touch consumer tools.

Frequently asked

The questions we hear first.

Why use this instead of our usual outside counsel?
This is not a replacement for your outside counsel. Your law firm remains the right choice for high-stakes, strategic, or highly bespoke matters. We are built for routine commercial contract work, where businesses often need more speed, cost certainty, and consistency than the traditional model is designed to provide. The result is a process that moves in hours, not days, with far greater cost certainty and operational predictability.
Why can’t I just use Claude or ChatGPT with Word myself?
Because the value is not the model alone. Every review is backed by experienced lawyers, internal legal policies, and professional accountability. We combine legal expertise with structured checklists, jurisdiction-specific knowledge, and verification steps to make the output faster, more consistent, and more reliable than using a general-purpose AI tool in Word on its own.
How is this different from legal-tech software like Harvey or Legora?
Those are tools for lawyers. We are lawyers that use AI to deliver reviewed documents. You are not buying software; you are buying a deliverable. The AI does the first-pass heavy lift, a lawyer reviews every output, and what arrives in your inbox is a finished redline with a risk note attached.
Who reviews the deliverable?
The lawyer on your account. Their name is shown on every document — that is who is accountable for the review.
What if the AI makes a mistake?
A lawyer reviews every deliverable before it ships. Nothing goes out without human sign-off.
How do you handle confidential information?
See the Security and data protection section above. In short: EU-resident infrastructure hosted in Germany, encryption in transit and at rest, ethical walls enforced at the database layer, enterprise Claude and OpenAI APIs only (never consumer tools), an immutable audit trail on every agent action, and a data processing agreement available for every engagement.
What does fixed fee actually mean?
One price per document type, reviewed, no surprises. No hourly billing, no time tracking.
We need a contract type not listed on this page. Can you help?
Most likely, yes. The document types listed above are what we handle most often, but our review framework is built to adapt. Get in touch and we’ll tell you whether we can cover it and what setup looks like.
Can you review contracts outside English law?
Let's talk and see how we can assist with your case.
Can you use European AI models instead of US-based ones?
Yes. Our default stack uses enterprise Anthropic and OpenAI APIs under strict data-processing agreements, but if your compliance or procurement policy requires EU-origin AI, we can route your matters through European models like Mistral — hosted and processed entirely within the EU.
What if we need more complex legal work beyond contract review?
For matters that go beyond routine review — M&A, complex negotiations, regulatory questions, corporate structuring — our full practice team at Aurum is available. This service handles the recurring contract workload; everything else is covered by the broader firm.
What happens after delivery? Can I ask follow-up questions?
Yes. Follow-up is included at no additional charge.
